A11y Pulse Newsletter March 2026

Does it feel like the first few months of this year have gone fast, or is it just me? There’s been a lot happening in the accessibility space this year already: In the EU we’re seeing the first publicised enforcement of the European Accessibility Act. In Canada we’re drawing close to the June 2026 deadline for large regulated organisations to submit their first accessibility plans.

Unfortunately down here in New Zealand there hasn’t been any movement on regulation around digital accessibility. Despite this, we’ve been busy at A11y Pulse building new features to help you keep up with fast-moving legislation in the rest of the world.

PDF Accessibility Reports

The feature I’m most excited about is our new accessibility reports. These reports can be generated for any site that you monitor in A11y Pulse and are perfect for sharing with clients or stakeholders. They can even be used as part of your Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT). You can either view the reports directly in A11y Pulse or download them as a PDF for easy sharing. Read Andy’s blog post to find out more about why we built this reporting feature.

A11y Pulse API

We might be biased, but we think the A11y Pulse web interface is pretty good. In saying that, there are plenty of scenarios where you might want to display your accessibility scan results in another interface. To help you achieve this we’ve released the first version of our public API. Read our API documentation to learn more.

Scans Dashboard

If you’ve ever wanted to dig into a historical accessibility scan result, our new Scans dashboard is what you need. We’re finding it especially helpful in sprint retrospectives when we need a reminder of which issues we fixed. It’s also handy for debugging failed scans. Check out our blog post if you’d like to know more.
