Sites with Include experimental audits switched on now get a new check for WCAG 1.4.1 Use of Color. When a link or button shows focus only by changing its text color, the audit measures how different the two colors are. A change between colors less than 3:1 apart in contrast is reported as an issue, because many people cannot see it. Any other focus indicator, such as an outline or underline, means the element is not flagged.
The check runs as part of the existing focus appearance audit, so it adds no time to your scans.
