Every scan now includes a focus appearance audit. A11y Pulse tabs through the focusable elements on your page and checks whether each one shows a visible change when it receives keyboard focus, which is what keyboard users rely on to see where they are. It first compares the element’s focus-relevant styles and falls back to a visual before-and-after comparison when needed.
Elements with no visible focus indicator are reported alongside the rest of your accessibility results, and you can ignore individual cases you have reviewed and accepted. It runs automatically with nothing to switch on, and helps you meet WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible.
